THINGS TO DO

The tennis courts, recreation ground and community hall are located opposite the Avoca Pioneer Park and Forestry Reserve camping area, which has water, toilets and fireplaces.

Fossicking is a popular activity at Sapphire Bend, off Riverview Road in Vulcan State Forest.

Mushrooms can be found in season in the forest and trout fishing is nearby.

The historic, stone Avoca Catholic Church and Shrine is in a lovely setting south of the village on Campbells River Road.

St Aidan's Church (known as the tin church) is north of the village along Abercrombie Road and is a quaint historical church.

The local cemetery is located on the edge of the village on Campbells River Road, a bit further along you can also find the old historical cemetery located in white springs forest nearby.
